The Mix Home Design Studio team collaborated with new homeowners and Buresh Construction to remodel the primary bath and lower level of their Cedar Rapids home on Eagle Ridge Dr, making it better fit their personal design tastes. Emily Hughes and Jackie Yoder teamed up to select finishes, lighting, mirrors, wall coverings, and furnishings for this modern transitional home.

Updates for the primary bath included removing ornate trim details and painting the high-quality cabinets, new cabinet hardware, new tile, new plumbing fixtures, wallpaper, lighting, and mirrors for a modernized transformation of this spa-like space.

In the lower-level bar, the upper cabinet design was simplified for a more clean-lined look; cabinetry was painted, a gray wash was applied to mute the color of the original stone, and new countertops and backsplash were installed. Emily and Jackie also helped the homeowners select new furnishings to complement their existing pieces throughout the home.
