Lone Tree Remodel | H & H Builders

After a few years of searching for the perfect site to build a custom home with H & H Home Builders, these homeowners opted to remodel an iconic home in the countryside outside of Lone Tree, Iowa.

Emily Hughes, along with her interior designers Jackie Yoder and Megan Hanus, worked with the homeowners and their daughter, an aspiring interior designer, to carefully select all of the finishes, fixtures, and furnishings for their modern farmhouse remodel.

Prior to the remodel, the home had low ceilings and a dark, enclosed kitchen. The major goal was to open up the space plan to make it feel more updated and inviting. The homeowners wanted a light and airy but also cozy feel for the space, along with a black, white, and gray color scheme. It was also important to the homeowners to keep the existing elements that gave it character, such as the striking round window in the kitchen and arched windows along the dining and living areas.
