Skogman realtor Mary Zalesky enlisted the Mix Home Design Studio team to furnish and accessorize this home on Edgebrooke Drive in Marion for the 2023 Cedar Rapids Spring Parade of Homes. Mix Home’s interior designer Megan Hanus managed the project from start to finish. She staged the living room, dining room, kitchen, mud room, and primary bedroom with furnishings and accessories from Mix Home Mercantile to help potential homeowners visualize how to make it feel like home.

Lead Designer
Megan Hanus
Interior Designer, Megan Hanus, graduated from the accredited interior design program at the University of Northern Iowa. Well before her college years, Megan was very creative – a trait she took over from her mother, who is a photographer.
Megan worked as a commercial designer for six years before switching over to the residential side of interior design. She loves the technology aspects that help her with the design process and enjoys keeping up with the latest interior design programs and technology.
Her two personal favorite design styles are Mid-Century Modern and Modern Traditional but enjoys working with her clients on whatever their personal style may be. She also loves to find design inspiration by traveling, following talented designers on Instagram, and through fashion and nature.
In Megan’s free time, she enjoys golfing and traveling with her husband, JJ.
