TRANSITIONAL GAME ROOM
The owners of this stately custom home in Cedar Rapids sought out Emily’s help with the interior design for the seating area of their lower-level game room. This fireside lounge area needed to be comfortable, durable, and sophisticated to meet the entertaining needs of both the parents and their teenage sons while staying true to the warm-toned, elegant design aesthetic of the home. Poufs near the television provide casual seating for their sons’ gaming, while tufted leather sofas and an oversized ottoman give the family a space to kick back and relax. Emily took the couple’s artwork inspiration and ran with it, painting a series of trees to hang over their shuffleboard table.
